About the Campground

Locally owned and operated, Yonah Mountain Campground is a clean and well maintained RV resort in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. Visitors have the option to relax on tent sites and standard or pull-through RV sites featuring water, sewer, and 30 or 50 amp power connections. Our year round facility featuring both tent and full hook-up RV sites has plenty of modern amenities including WiFi throughout the campground, a clubhouse, swimming pool, picnic pavilion, bath house, and playground. Your four-legged friends will love our pet-friendly park.

We offer regular campground activities such as  picnics, kids’ activities, concerts, shuffleboard tournaments, and holiday events. The convenient campground office and general store features a selection of cold drinks and snacks, camping necessities, and toys for the kids. 

About the Area

The highly popular Alpine Village of Helen, home of quaint German shops, river activities, authentic German cuisine and the world famous Oktoberfest, is just 4 miles away at the gateway to the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Conveniently located less than two hours from Atlanta, the campground is located at the foot of Yonah Mountain. It can serve as your home base for daily adventures including beautiful mountain drives, hiking to picturesque waterfalls, fishing in sparkling rivers, exploring charming nature trails, panning for gold and gems, discovering local wineries, horseback riding, tubing and kayaking in the Chattahoochee River, and much more. Other nearby attractions include Cabbage Patch BabyLand General Hospital, Mark of the Potter, Smithgall Woods State Park, Anna Ruby Falls, Brasstown Bald and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Richard B. Russell Scenic Highway. Area festivals include Helen’s Oktoberfest, Dahlonega’s Gold Rush Days, Clarkesville’s Chattahoochee Mountain Fair, Hiawassee’s Georgia Mountain Fall Festival, and Blairsville’s Sorghum Festival.
